I am currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I obtained my Master’s Degree from East Carolina University where I specialized in Clinical Counseling and School Counseling. Go Pirates!

I hold a certificate in Military and Trauma Counseling; this certification assists me in having a better understanding of interventions for the population and the dynamics of those given populations. I have also been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a method of therapy utilized to treat a wide array of mental health experiences and symptoms. I am certified in Animal Assisted Therapy and am trained in Natural Lifemanship, a modality for Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

I believe building a strong therapeutic relationship and being genuine is the foundation to successful stages of growth. I desire to assist others in recognizing their own potential and allowing them to discover ways to be their own advocate and catalyst for change. In addition, I encourage others to form and understand the dynamics of resiliency in the ever-changing world. My experience includes providing counseling to individuals with concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and dissociative disorders. My counseling approach is person-centered, attachment based, trauma informed, somatic and integrative utilizing a variety of techniques in order to modify therapy to match the needs of each unique client.
